Other Helpful Sites

Here are some other sites I've found to be helpful, and that have saved (or earned!) me lots of money.

1. Swagbucks
This is a site you use as a search engine, and a couple times a day you earn 'swag bucks' for your searches. Normally 8-12 a few times a day. You also earn one a day by voting on their daily poll, various amounts when you redeem special codes they release, complete special offers, play games, get 10 for each of their coupons you use - so many options! You can get a $5 amazon gift card for 450 swag bucks (or there's plenty of other rewards to choose from!). I haven't been doing much with it lately (other than using it for search) and I still get about 3 $5 amazon cards per month. Right now I have a little more than $200 in my amazon account from this and a survey site I belong to. That's after Tim has already bought a couple of his seminary books with the money too. I'm trying to decide if I should keep saving it up for the future, or go ahead and get a kindle. ;)

2. Ebates
If you EVER shop online, you have to use ebates! Even if you buy something from the daily deal sites in my previous post (groupon, mamapedia, etc.), you can earn a % back. Each store is different and they give a rebate anywhere from 1%-25% back (for places like Target, Walmart, Barnes and Noble, etc.). Might as well get some money back for something you would buy anyway! Plus you get an extra $5 rebate after your first $25 purchase through them. Easy to use - check it out!

3. Offermatic
This is another rebate site, that is credited right onto your credit/debit card. A fantastic site! They give you special offers when you join (1/2 off amazon purchase, $10 off a $20 purchase at Target, etc.). It doesn't only have to be online either! I recently got an offer for $10 off a $20 purchase at Walmart, so I purchased a couple packs of t-shirts that that Tim needed (and those are hardly ever on sale, but 1/2 off was nice!) - total was $20.80 (including shipping) and offermatic credited the $10 the next day, so the total was only $10.80. I've also gotten a $10 off of $20 purchase at Target (and I had another one of the same offers through another site, so my purchase was free for a dress for me and a bunch of onesies for my nephews!!). It is definitely worth looking into if you use a debit or credit card to make purchases - which is pretty much everyone nowadays!

4. Beezag
This is a site that you are rewarded for watching commercials. Kinda crazy, I know. But they give you a certain number of points for each commercial you watch, and then you earn actual cash through it (you can redeem your points when you have $8 worth). I haven't belonged to it for a long time, but just watch them if/when you have a few minutes to spare!  They also give offers for 10% off certain online stores, sweepstakes entries, and sometimes deals like $25 off a $50 purchase at certain places. Not my favorite thing ever, but it's a good thing to check out.

Daily Deal Sites

1. Groupon
Probably one of my favorites. They have a wide selection of local offers everyday, at half price or more! I've gotten $20 to everydaysource.com, Tim got a $15 credit for ebay, and they are always offering 5 Blockbuster kiosk rentals for $2! I've gotten all of those - all for free through credits I had earned.

2. Mamapedia
I've gotten a lot of deals through them - all for free. If you sign up through my link, you get a $5 credit on the site, so you can often score deals for free. Once one friend signs up and makes a purchse through your link, you get credits. Spread the word to give your friend free credits and earn your own deals at the same time!
I've gotten a bunch of kids DVDs, $30 to spend at shoemall.com, a couple magazine subscriptions, gifts, and other deals - all for free!

3. Gaggle of Chicks
This is another site like mamapedia, but I don't like it quite as much. I haven't found the deals to be things I am interested in, but I have gotten some good things through them - kids DVDs, and a free photo book of our wedding (and a book for my nephew). Definitely worth checking out! If you use the link, I know you at least get $5 of credit, but sometimes they give a special and it's up to $10!

4. Eversave
Another site like groupon - there's a LOT of them out there now! You automatically get $2 (sometimes up to $5) for joining through a friend's link, and they have lots of fun deals. I think that's been my favorite site of all. I've gotten a LOVE wall hanging with mine and Tim's name engraved, monogrammed purses for my sister and I, and some other fun things - of course using credits when they had specials, so it's all been for free as well!

5. Tippr
Yet another daily deal site. It hasn't had as many offers, but still some good ones out there. I got $20 to my favorite bakery and $25 to a Thai food place (looking forward to visiting there this summer!) for a grand total of $2 after some credit when I joined. If you join through a friend's link (feel free to use mine!), you automatically get a $5 credit.

6. My Fox Half Off
This site is closely tied with tippr, but is only available, as far as I know, to the Detroit area. I got a $5 credit when I joined through a friend's link, and then they had an offer for $10 at Nestle Toll House Cafe in Troy for $5, so it ended up being free! Looking forward to using that one with Tim this summer as well.

7. Deal Pulp
This is another helpful site, though they only offer one deal per day, nationwide. I've gotten a $20 credit and free shipping to dollardays.com (that was a fun one!), a free box of clothes from thredup.com for my nephews, and a few others I can't think of right now. Definitely worth checking out - I think you'll enjoy their unique deals!

Again, if I think of other good sites, I'll add them to the list! :)

Reward Sites to Get Free Stuff!

1. Kraft First Taste
Is a GREAT site for completely free products. So far I have gotten 3 free products in the couple weeks I have been with them. You just sign up with your email and they will occasionally offer you a new product they are launching (be sure to check back on the site to claim them!). I've gotten coupons for free shredded cheese, dessert Temptations, and some new cream cheese spread. Easy way to try new products for free!

2. Pampers
This is a rewards site for those who buy Pampers diapers. But if you don't (like me!) don't worry, you can still earn points through online codes they release. The blogs mentioned here post whenever new codes are available. I've already gotten a free Venus razor through them, and I'm looking to get some toys for my nephews next! It only takes a few minutes to put the new code in - really simple!

3. Huggies Rewards
Huggies has a site just like Pampers, the only difference is that they also have instant win games to win different gift cards. Through those I have already won a $10 Starbucks gift card and a $10 visa gift card. Worth checking out if you have a few minutes to play the games once you have a code (or save up all  your codes and play a bunch of times at once!).

4. Recycle Bank
This is a unique site that earns you points mainly through recycling with your local recycle site and through the purchase of various recycled products. Since we don't have those here, I just earn through online offers they have (mostly clicking through a tutorial about recycling, etc). For rewards, you get coupons for certain products. Only some are free (depending on your zip code), but they offer high value ones like buy one get one free Coke products, buy one get one free at Olive Garden, $10 off at Bed, Bath and Beyond, etc. Definitely worth checking out. I'm saving my points to get some good coupons when we're back in the States!

5. Disney Movie Rewards
This is another rewards site, similar to the ones mentioned above. The only difference is, when you buy certain Disney Movies, inside they offer a code to redeem (normally about 4-5 movies = 1 free one). They also offer online codes (which is what I collect) and I have already earned enough for a free DVD through just the online codes. Now I'm trying to decide which one to get! Definitely helpful if you own a lot of Disney movies!!

I'll add more as I think of these sites, but those are the best ones that come to mind right now!

$20 of Barnes & Noble for $10! Ends Today!!

Groupon is still offering a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card for only $10!! Hurry, ends today!

Parenting Early Years Magazine

I guess magazines are the item to get today! Eversave is currently offering a 2 year subscription to Parenting Early Years magazine for $5. You'll need to choose the Providence, RI deal and it should come up on the sidebar. If you are new, you get a $2 credit (but they don't allow you to use it on this deal), but you can use the coupon code TOUCHDOWN to get $3 off the purchase, so it costs just $2 for two years!!

Offermatic.com

I'm still figuring this site out, but so far I've been impressed with it! I was a little hesitant to give them my credit card, but once I read so many positive reviews from friends and others, and I have yet to see anything negative, so I'm giving it a try.

It tracks your credit card spending, and offers rewards you'd be interested in. For example, I made a purchase at Target before we left the States, so it has offered me a $10 rebate on the next $20+ purchase I make at Target. And a $10 subway gift card for $5, etc. The longer it tracks, the more points you earn, and the more rebates/deals it offers. So far I've been impressed, but haven't used their rebates yet since we're keeping a tight budget.  :)  Hope some of you can find it helpful as well!!

Gaggle of Chicks: FitDeck Cards

Gaggle of Chicks is a newer daily deal site (similar to Groupon). Right now they have a set of fitdeck cards available for only $12.99, but when you sign up you get a $5 credit, which makes each deck 7.99 - more than 1/2 off! Each card has a different exercise to do, and none of them require any equipment. If you are a teacher or have kids, this is a great set 'game' to have on hand! I used it often when I was coaching and also in my classroom. There are lots of decks to choose from - even prenatal and postnatal decks for those in that category.  :)

Swagbucks!

For those that haven't joined yet, I'd highly recommend checking out swagbucks. I've been a member since the end of October, and I have received over $70 in amazon gift cards.

I use it primarily as my search engine (in replacement of google), and that's about it. Randomly as you search,. they will reward you with swagbucks. Once you have saved up 450, you can get a $5 amazon card (though there's plenty of other options as well!). Occasionally I'll watch a video under their special offers to gain extra, or play some games that they offer. Everyday they also offer 1-2 special codes on their blog or other places that you can redeem for swagbucks as well. Some people are very dedicated and spend lots of time, but I'm not that obsessed with it.  :)

If you have any questions about it, I'll do my best to help you out!

Huggies Rewards

Similar to the Pampers site, Huggies also has a rewards site.  Click here to find a list of current reward codes for the site.

Instead of saving up for something there, I have used the online codes (I haven't gotten too many - at the most 50 pts) on their instant win games.  So far I've won a $10 visa gift card and a $10 Starbucks gift card.  Not bad for free!  :)

Pampers Gifts to Grow

If you haven't yet joined Pampers, do it now! You can enter codes from Pampers diapers and wipes you buy to earn rewards. They also offer online codes. I have yet to buy any Pampers (obviously!) but I have almost 800 points in my account. At 1,000 you can get a $10 off at diapers.com, but there's plenty of other rewards to choose from as well!!

Once you join, enter the newest code: XK6JT33PRDRAK6W to get 10 points. Also, check out this link for other valid codes to enter!

Listia.com

If you haven't yet, I would encourage you to join Listia! It's an auction site similar to ebay, but you don't use money . . . instead you use credits. If you sign up through that link you automatically get 100 credits, and after filling out your account info, making bids, etc, you earn more credits (up to 550). So far I haven't 'sold' anything on there since it's hard to send things from here, but I've received 6 pairs of earrings, a slipcover from Pottery Barn for a couch, and a cookbook, all for free! Try it out for yourself, and let me know if you have any questions!

1 Year of Scholastic Parent & Child for only $1

Mamapedia is currently offering a Scholastic Parent & Child year's subscription for only $6. You get a $5 credit for signing up, which makes this deal only $1!

If you're not interested in this one, stay tuned for further deals from Mamapedia. The other day they had Parent's magazine for only $5, which ended up being free after the credit!

$20 of Barnes & Noble for only $10!

Groupon is having a great deal today!! You can grab a $20 Barnes & Noble gift card for only $10! There's a different deal everyday, so if you're not interested today, stay tuned in the coming days! :)

PS: If the B&N deal doesn't load on the main page, look to the sidebar to snag this deal!

Get a Free Baby Juno DVD

You have to be a mom (or an expectant mom) for this one!  Just join this site and you'll receive a free Baby Juno DVD in the mail!  I read reports from people who received it, so it is legitimate!

And as a reminder, you may want to start a 'junk mail' email address, that you can use when you sign up for offers like this.  Don't want to fill up your personal email with junk mail!  :)

Smile.ly

I joined Smile.ly a couple weeks ago.  It's a site that offers you free products, which are often new test products.  I have heard mixed reviews on it . . . that some people don't receive products too quickly, etc.  But as soon as I signed up there was a 'mission' for me to receive a free carton Florida's Natural Orange Juice, along with 10 $1 off coupons to share with friends.  Its kind of fun really, you earn 'smiles' for sharing your reviews with friends, posting them on fb and twitter, etc.  You try to reach 50 smiles while your mission is assigned to you.

I would recommend checking it out.  Can't promise anything great, but you may find a fun mission or two to join!

NoMoreRack.com

This is a relatively newer site, that offers just 8 special deals everyday starting at noon.  Some are great, some aren't so great.  If you sign up through here you can get $10 off your order.  Some are reporting that it's only good with a $20 purchase, but some say they can use it with only a few dollars.  Shipping is only $2, so you might be able to score a great deal, or better yet, get something for free!  Check it out and see if it works for you (I haven't yet, but plan on it soon!)!  :)

Pampers Gifts to Grow

If you have little ones around or relatives with little ones, make sure you join Pampers Gifts to Grow!  Click here.  On each Pampers package you buy there is a code you can redeem, but often there are codes that are offered online.  I've never bought any Pampers products (I have no need!), but I collect the online points and so far I have 625.  You can redeem the points for coupons on diapers.com, baby toys, prints from shutterfly, etc.  And they just recently started offering a $10 Starbucks card for 1,100 points.

Today there is an unusually high value code out for 100 points.  Just enter: MYBABYREGISTRYT   But it only lasts til midnight tonight, so hurry and use it!  You can also do a simple search and find lists of available online codes to jumpstart your account. (UPDATE: I just found this site that lists several of them:  Click here.)

Ebates

Ebates is an excellent way to save some money on your online purchaes!  For every purchase you make online, clicking through their website first, they offer a certain % back.  Depending on the store you are shopping at, they offer between 1-20% back.  They also offer weekly deals where they give double percent back on certain sites.  It's particularly helpful if you're making a large purchase.  Recently my husband was purchasing some new printers for the college and was able to score 5% back, and on your first purchase over $20, you also get an added $5 rebate.  Your money is returned to you once a quarter, so you do have to wait a bit, but hey, money is money!  :)

Listia

Listia is another site I've found that is a lot of fun.  Its similar to ebay, but instead of bidding with money, you bid with credits.  If you click through that link you are guaranteed to start with 50 credits, but often as many as 300-400.  I think mine started with 300.  Then you get 50 credits each for linking with facebook and twitter, and often you'll 'find' credits as you bid, sign in, etc.  So far I haven't 'sold' anything on there, but I've already gotten 5 pairs of earrings, a cookbook and a slipcover for a couch (from Pottery Barn) - all for free!  The seller can choose to charge shipping or not, so I only bid on the auctions that ship for free.  It's a real fun site, and I'm considering auctioning one of my $5 amazon cards that I won through swagbucks (and since I can email the code it saves on shipping!), since those are one of the highest bidding items.  But have fun with it, and definitely check it out!  :)
